COP (Conference of Parties)
COP is the annual UN climate change conference where nations negotiate emission reductions.
Definition
The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the annual climate change conference organized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). At COP21 (Paris, 2015), 196 countries agreed to limit global warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels — the Paris Agreement. Subsequent COPs: COP22 (Marrakech, 2016), COP26 (Glasgow, 2021), COP28 (Dubai, 2023). Morocco hosted COP22 in 2016, showcasing its renewable energy leadership. Harch Corp aligns its sustainability strategy with COP targets, contributing to Morocco's national climate commitments.
