ChatGPT Optimization is the applied sub-discipline of GEO focused exclusively on how ChatGPT (including ChatGPT Search, GPT-4o, and the GPTBot crawler) retrieves, weights, and surfaces your brand in conversational answers. ChatGPT is a hybrid system: it relies on training-data memorization for general knowledge, and on real-time web retrieval for current facts. Optimizing for ChatGPT therefore requires two parallel campaigns. First, the persistent-training campaign — getting cited on high-authority domains (Wikipedia, Crunchbase, industry press, government registries, schema-typed organization pages) so that the next model checkpoint ingests you as a known entity. Second, the live-retrieval campaign — publishing fresh, quotable content with strong server-side rendering, fast TTFB, and a permissive robots.txt that explicitly allows GPTBot, ChatGPT-User, and OAI-Searchbot. Harch Atelier runs ChatGPT Optimization programs from Casablanca using GLM-4 to generate the candidate content (at roughly 25x lower cost than GPT-4), then validates citations weekly against a 200-query test panel. The deliverable is a citation-share delta: before the program, how often ChatGPT named you; after twelve weeks, how often it names you now.
