CCME is Morocco's advisory council for the Moroccan diaspora (MRE).
Definition
The Conseil de la Communauté Marocaine à l'Étranger (CCME) is Morocco's official advisory body for Moroccans living abroad (MRE). Established in 2007, CCME: (1) Advises the Moroccan government on MRE policies, (2) Conducts research on the diaspora, (3) Promotes cultural and economic ties, (4) Organizes conferences and events. CCME publishes annual reports on MRE demographics, remittances, and integration. The CCME is part of Morocco's broader MRE ecosystem alongside the Ministry of MRE and the Foundation Hassan II for MRE.
